It was in Wilmore, south of you on Harrodsburg Rd, on top of a hill near Ichthus farm. I set up my camera on a tripod and pointed it where I knew I would catch lightning. Set the shutter for a 30 second exposure, with an aperture of f/8, and a 400 ISO. Lightning struck 3 times in that 30 seconds.
By the way, I was shooting this storm for about 3 hrs, 2 hrs into the shoot lightning struck so close to me that I could feel the heat, the boom took my breath from me, I couldn't see for a little bit from the flash, and my camera was in the middle of an exposure, that picture is almost completely whited out.
well, i would say that it seems to work and your shots of the storm/lightning are pretty good. thx for getting back to me and i appreciate the tips. i'd surely love to catch a few good shots like that.
thx again and thx for adding me to your watch list! go cats for sure!
